We lost Sue Burns. Who even knows what that will do to our organization. It can't be good. I take no joy in the McCourt divorce. As a baseball fan it is
discouraging to think it could change anything or everything. Bummer for everyone.

God, what an ugly soap opera.
...the annual expenses Jamie claims she needs to maintain the lifestyle of a baseball owner are greater than the combined salaries of Kemp, James Loney, Clayton Kershaw, Jonathan Broxton and Chad Billingsley. I'd be so embarrassed if this was happening to my team. |

The divorce of the Moores a couple of years ago put the kabash on the Padres organization. That divorce was reasonably amicable for one that is played out in
the media. The McCourt divorce has gotten ugly quick.
I have never experienced divorce through siblings, inlaws or parents so I can't know how devastating it can be. That won't change the fun I'm going to have with this. I will continue to make insensitive remarks about the McCourts because the Giant/Dodger rivalry is all about one-upmanship, trash talk, kicking them when they're down and kicking them when they're up. I honestly believe the winter meetings could end up being the War of the Roses. I can't wait for the added drama.

Well, I've been divorced 1 and 1/2 times and no, it's absolutely no fun. But this is a celebrity divorce (at least in the world of sports),
and they're rich beyond belief and it's already being played out in the media. And it's the Dodgers. So they're fair game. As ugly as it is
already, I think it will get uglier.
