Jason Bay leaving Boston for San Francisco?
The San Francisco Giants want to add a player
with a big bat this off-season and the word is that the Boston Red
Sox's Jason
Bay(notes) will be the
prime target, according to the Boston Globe.
The Giants, who've needed a big offensive threat ever since Barry Bonds(notes) receded into the fog, are apparently ready to open their wallet for a fella like Bay or Matt Holliday(notes), both of whom will be free agents soon enough.
The Red Sox are apparently hoping to retain Bay, but he has his home in Seattle and rumor has it he'd like to return to the West Coast.
