The whole thing came off as a vindictive attack on the Mets with little to no regard for the way that they've actually been playing of late. And it got in the way of actually calling the game that was going on, which is, you know, your job.

Back in May the Giants played the Mets in New York on Sunday Night Baseball and we had to listen to a 9 inning diatrabe against the Mets while a game was being played. Now Bad-Boy Phillips is in a bit of hot water with a mixture of bad behavior, fatal attraction, and divorce.

ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips has been suspended from the network for one week in the midst of an affair with a 22-year-old production assistant, Brooke Hundley, the New York Post is reporting.

It's not the first time Phillips, a married man, has gone astray at the workplace. As GM of the New York Mets in 1998, Phillips admitted to an affair with fellow staffer Rosa Rodriguez.

Hundley reportedly talked about the affair to Phillips wife, Marni, and one of his kids. Marni is filing for divorce. The New York Post goes into detail about a letter that Hundley sent to Phillips' wife.
