Steve Phillips often gets blamed for trading Scotty Kazmir by just about everyone (including myself) but I was surprised to learn last season
that was actually the handy work of Jim Duquette.
Still doesn't take away the fact the guy is a goofball, however. |

I can't get on the board during games now, because I didn't log on and they won. I'll take one for the team. But boy oh boy I wanted to come here and SCREAM STFU PHILLIPS! All he could talk about was mets blah mets blah mets blah. I could NOT listen to this game, and I thought Fox sucked. It was all mets, all the fuckin' time. Geez!

NY is pretty offended by Phillips (surprise, surprise! They should be!) *I* was offended and I couldn't care less about the Mets.
National TV Unkind to Mets The whole thing came off as a vindictive attack on the Mets with little to no regard for the way that they've actually been playing of late. And it got in the way of actually calling the game that was going on, which is, you know, your job. |
