Today Baseball America came out with its Twins Top 10 Prospect List. Neither Bonser or Liriano were on it. For those interested, here is what they said about the two players in the chat:
"Q: Tim from St. Paul asks:
How close were Boof Bonser and Francisco Liriano to making the list?
A: Josh Boyd: They are in the second group of 10, which tells you a lot about how strong the Twins system is. Both Bonser and Liriano would've made the Giants top 10. With Bonser, though, the Twins have many similar arms with a little higher ceiling and Liriano, who might have the best arm in the system just needs to stay healthy. The Twins saw him up to 98 mph in instructional league before trading for him."
This also probably tells you something about how weak the Giants system is. Later in the chat Boyd noted that he saw Bonser as a future #4 starter.
