Hey Dave, school's gotten my hands tied behind my back. When I wasn't at crew practice, I was doing homework, when I didn't have practice and was done with homework I was playing baseball... kind of stressful, so I quit crew to practice for baseball tryouts, which are tomorrow through sunday (!!!).

Think you'll make it out to a few games this season? If you do, I'd love to come out and have a tailgater or something (though I *ahem* kinda can't drive yet). I might be working at Pac Bell over the summer, selling Ben and Jerry's ice cream as a vendor.... walk around the ballpark, catch some of the game, get paid, sounds good to me. Now that I've figured out some of the ins and outs of my new school, I should have some more time to get to whats REALLY important; giants baseball!

Y'know, I always envied the vendors for that very reason. When I was a teenager, I wanted to work as a Giants' vendor or at the local movie theater. I ended up working in an ice cream parlor, which was a blast.

I'm planning to come out during the last Dodgers' series of the year, though my time will be tight and I'll probably have time to catch only the Friday night game (9/24), maybe the Houston game the night before -- if I arrive on Thursday. It's still eight months away. I'll be in touch as the date approaches.

Sadly (well, for me), I'll be missing my first Opening Day since at least 1986 (I know -- before you were born). Bad timing. It falls the afternoon after Easter Sunday and after an important weekend for my family. There's no way I can leave on Easter and there's no way I can leave early enough on Monday to make the 1:05 start -- so, I'll miss it. Had to happen someday. At least I'll get to see the Giants at the end of August when they come out here.
