Ouch, Giants.

I'm having a perfectly shitty day and now this?

I blew out a bike tire this morning - and I mean it was a BLOWOUT. I didn't know bike tires made that sound when they blew up like that. BOOM! At least I didn't crash. Anyway, since I don't have a car I had to get a cab to REI to get a replacement set of tires. At first it didn't look like they had my size tire in stock but we found a couple. Then I couldn't get the damn things on my wheels because they're so fresh and tight. TOOK FOREVER and my hands are sore. Suddenly I panicked and thought I put the old blown-out tube back in the back tire so I had to take that wheel off and go through the whole rigamarole again, only to find out I had a good tube in there. So I got that all set and then found I have a broken spoke too, so I'll have to go to REI and have the mechanics replace it. It's ride-able for short distances until I can get to REI on Monday. The wheel isn't trued and it rubs the brake but it's ride-able for now. At least the cab driver was nice enough to wait for me with the meter off while I was in the store. But I was spoiled in the Bay Area as far as taxis go - this one cost me $30. REI is about 3 miles away....

So during all this bike repair I had the game on and I'm sort of paying attention to the sound of Kruk & Kuip. I went into the kitchen to scrub the grease and dirt out from under my fingernails and BAM! Lincecum has a blowout like mine! Oh Timmy. OH TIMMEH. Yikes.

Oh, and I found out that the job I that I had that fantastic interview for - it's advertised again. I never even got a rejection letter even though they requested my transcripts. I thought I was still being considered. Gah.

I haven't even had a thing to eat yet today. Maybe after I fix some dinner (lunch?) the Giants will put a couple of runs on the board?
