Matt Cain 0-8 with a 4.33 ERA vs the Dodgers lifetime? I'm not going to ride Cainy but, buddy, you have to do better than that against our #1 enemy. That is unacceptable but I am sure somewhere in those many starts he pitched his @ss off and deserved a win.

4 games out is nothing. This division is still weak. In fact MLB as a whole is not too hot. We have 40 wins (after going 3-7 in our last 10) and the best team (s) in baseball have 47 wins. They keep playing like this it will obviously slip away but it's still early. They can turn it around in a flash. Thought Posey would give the extra bump but it's not turning out that way. That is a big burden to carry for a young'n. Speaking of Posey. Why isn't he playing? Rotoworld mentioned a tidbit about a possible wrist injury but is that confirmed? Cause if not it is inexcusable not to get him action vs LAD.

I still hate watching Rowand, Molina and Renteria play baseball these days but I can stomach 1 or even 2 in the line-up if they give us someone fresh. Time (past time) to start sniffing around the league for trade partners. Line up jumbling and musical chair defense alignments won't be enough. We need some steady everyday outfielders and we need to cut some of this dead weight on the roster ASAP. Particularly the man under the big hat leaning on the rail inning after inning.

The Giants are doing just ok almost 3 months in. 4 games over .500 is about right for this squad. That is wins in the mid to high 80's. With a phony offensive attack it is a success. However, we could still push into the mid 90's in my estimation with some roster moves. A good GM and manager could make it work with some action as the deadline fast approaches. Just wish the man holding the cards wouldn't work against us for a change when the seasonal crossroad is upon us. I hate flipping the calender in August and knowing the inevitable is on the horizon. I hate going through the motions as everyone pretends we can do it. Lets not pretend. Lets really do it this time. Lets flip this awful NL West losing way. 8-16 in our division is cancer. Gotta fight back against that garbage immediately.

It's just so hard for me to cheer for players I don't like. You cheer for the team and not the player I suppose. Or like they would say in the military when you see some @sshole officer approaching. You salute the ensign not the man. I just rather salute the man and the colors. I feel a whole lot better if I believed in our campaign and the men who lead us. The group is not that bad. Average. We just need field leader. Not a gamer. Not a half crusty veteran. A honest to goodness leader who makes everyone be the best they can be. We got Pablo who seems to be a good personality. A clown always smiling and joking. Dancing. And that is cool. But I want to see some frowns. Some scowls. Some hard nose badass looks in the dugout. I could give a sh*t about smiles during the game. I want someone to bring intensity to this club. This club is just so ... so ... neutral. Except for Huff. Huff got some fire. I do like that. Need more of that going around during game time.

I wouldn't mind a little dugout shoving match to get the juices flowing right about now. A little disorder would do some good. Our best seasons were when we had inter-squad rivalries. Of course it didn't hurt it was lead by 2 HOF caliber players...

If a teammate of mine made Panda size mistakes on the paths two days in a row? I'm all in that @ss. Right in public. On blast for sure. At least a hard core stare down to emit my disgust. And if I did the same I'd expect someone to do it to me. Hell, I've had it done to me. It's a sick feeling. You can't do jack about it except come back with a purpose tomorrow.

Tomorrow is today. Get it done.
