Oh yes, there was one petition jockey in the MUNI station who wanted you to sign one side, then turn over and sign again "so we can verify your signature" I told him I knew it was bullshit. But I should gotten his name and reported him. What do they make? 25 cent per signature?
So many of those propositions are so poorly written, like you said. When I first moved here, I was so idealistic about the whole process, but after 12 years, I see how misleading it is and how whoever has the most money can employ one of the petition signing machines and get it done.
Sorry, but I;m a big cynic now.
