My mom was a teacher her whole life. She always had to supply things to the classroom, but nothing like it is today. In Georgia they have a "teachers day" at the local Walmart/K-Mart/Ace hardware type stores so that teachers can go and buy supplies for their classrooms, (with their own money) at a super discounted rate. Ebay is also popular among teachers these days. And it's not like teachers have a lot of disposable income to throw around either.

On the news this morning, the CoCo sup was saying that they were going to cut 22 mil, and now, since that bond passed, they only have to cut 17 mil (or sumthin to that effect).

This is totally shameful...

Also they said that the A's are already stepping up to see what they can do to help out...
