I'm with you. I want to sit down and watch a game without the fluff, too. But that's not what you get even when you're watching local Giants broadcasts on Fox.

When Fox does the Giants broadcasts, half the time the camera is pointed into the stands instead of on the field. I guess the players and coaches just vanish into thin air between pitches. You wouldn't even know they were there as Krup merrily erases one idiot after another in the stands or the camera just keeps zeroing in on one particular fan or couple over and over over again, time after time.

Makes you wonder if the Giants have discovered another revenue source from money paid to them under the table by fans who want screen time on TV during the games.

Enough already. Let's point the cameras back on the field. Something wrong with watching the pitcher take the ball back from the pitcher and prepare to make the next pitch? Or quick shots of the fielders to show their positioning.

I mean, seriously, when you're watching the game at the park, as soon as the pitch is made (assuming it's not put in play) what do you do? Start staring at other people in the crowd until the next pitch. There's nothing happening on the field to look at?

It gets so bad sometimes I just want to scream at the TV, "Can we watch the game, please!!!" No, Fox gets it wrong on both the national and local broadcasts. Too much sizzle and not enough meat. Sort of the same problem with their news broadcasts.
