The only problem with that explaination is that Linden didn't slow down until he was only about 20 feet from home. He never hesitated rounding 3rd, and Glynn was waving him in like a madman.

Linden would have made it if he had continued hauling tail and slid into the plate. The baseball IQ displayed by Linden thus far is barely above that of a turnip. So much physical ability, yet so little dedication to learning how the game is played.
