Let's keep Tim, move Ortiz to the pen, and send Sanchez down to Fresno and let him start. No use in having 3 lefties in the pen, and I think Sanchez needs to be a starter. Russ would be fine as a long reliever

G3B:

I've been saying this (Sanchez) all along, but at the same time there's merit in having him stay in the major league bullpen as a lefty specialist. He's our best lefty reliever against lefties and his build and durability issues (i.e. -- he doesn't have any) suggest his future is in the 'pen. But...there's the other argument that if the major league team is going to build some trading depth for a *real* bat (to "complement" the past-their-prime gang) then they may need Sanchez's starter stuff stretched out by late-July. I know this is blasphemous to suggest at the present time, but trading Matt Morris at the deadline will not only help our future (and save us nearly $10M next season -- money that could be used this winter) but it could help the present. Lord knows the Yankees could be calling up this year's draft picks by then.
