Could a split vote for the writers who favor St Louis drop the Cy Young into Timmy's lap? I guess we'll know tomorrow.....

Well, since there are only 32 voters (2 in each team's city), I think it would be hard to overlook that Carpenter was simply the better pitcher (compared
to Wainwright). I see him getting the most 1st votes, but the split might affect the 2nd votes for guys that didn't vote for Carpenter with their first
vote.

Carpenters numbers are obviously solid. Cy young worthy. Edge in W/L ERA and WHIP, but for me I love the pitcher who can get the K. 251TL 145CC is a monster
difference. Much more impressive than the differences in the other categories. + Tim leads in BAA by .20.
I know K does not mean so much to the voter and most of them love W-L but if Lincecum does take his second consecutive there shouldn't be any robbery talk around baseball. Same goes for Carpenter if he takes it I guess. Hope not though. I know.. ARB and all, but it was forever before we finally got the CY Young back. I'd hate to give it up now. Want hardware of dominance in SF. 2 in a row is taking steps toward legendary. Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Kofax, Palmer, Mclain, Clemens. Pretty unreal.

From the talk on twitter:
8 of the 32 ballots for NL Manager of the Year included Bruce Bochy. He finished fourth overall. NL Cy Young is announced at 11am |

Back to back Cy Young awards means that Timmy's first arb award will be for MORE than $10M, setting a new record.

Pujols is MVP again. 3 career.
But, Sandoval got a 3rd place vote and a bunch of other votes! So did Timmy. Heck, even Affeldt got a vote.

Pablo Sandoval was 7th in voting for the NL MVP with 89points, Lincecum was 19th with 8points and Affeldt was tied for 27th with 1point
(via twitter; I understand these are overall numbers) |
