The Giants declined to offer arbitration to Ryan Garko, a sign they don't envision the first baseman as an everyday player. Garko, acquired on July 27 for left-handed prospect Scott Barnes, hit .235 with two homers and 12 RBIs in 40 games -- .133 with no RBIs in 45 at-bats at China Basin.
